We are a non-profit organization focused on advocating for equity in health and social justice for minority and multicultural populations in Ohio. Our primary goal is to create equity and eliminate disparities that impact these communities.
Ohio Federation for Health Equity and Social Justice are dedicated to addressing health disparities and promoting health equity. OFHESJ works towards their goals through various means including policy change, civic engagement, and building diverse coalitions. The Federation’s efforts are supported by volunteers, supporters, and partnerships with like-minded organizations, highlighting the importance of community engagement and collaboration in their mission to ensure equitable health outcomes for minority populations.
The Federation engages in research, data utilization and community surveys as strategies to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to attain equity in health care, child well-being, education, juvenile justice and economic security, including an equitable distribution of resources and removal of systemic barriers.
Educating stakeholders is vital to raising awareness about disparities, cultural competence, root causes of inequality and the importance of equitable opportunities for vulnerable and marginalized communities.
